True Face Rising

A small sample of soul from a new project…

Modern Day Mephistopheles

The tarot cards are mirrors
Reflecting back at me.
Here an image of glamors,
And there a personal fallacy.

They show a devil in disguises,
Ripping at silken veils,
‘Till a true face rises,
Smiling even when he fails.

Won’t shy from animosity,
Even when he feels fears,
Won’t deny his curiosity,
Even when it ends in tears.

Yes…

I guess I’m a devil in disguise,
Tearing and ripping at silken veils,
Until I see my true face rise,
The one everyone will hail.
